Demonstrator’s Knowledge Regarding the Prescription of Antibiotics for Endodontic Treatment

Background: Since the discovery of antibiotics, they have been in use broadly for treatment odontogenic infections. Prescription is a dynamic, customized clinical process, and considered as vital determinant good doctor/clinician. Aim this study was to assess & evaluate knowledge regarding prescription antibiotic during endodontic errors made by house officers at Multan Dental College. Methods: This survey-based conducted among 40 working A survey form designed, about pattern antibiotics situations which were recommended House officers. The questionnaire investigated officer's indications different signs that may well be related infections oral cavity. Results: medication choice mostly Amoxicillin + clavulanic acid (52.6%) alone (47.3%). greatest number prescriptions written acute apical abscess (62.8%) patient with fever malaise (62%). Overall, 12% respondents always prescribed after root canal therapy. In numbers prophylactically congenital heart diseases 69.7%, uncontrolled diabetes mellitus 62.8%.
